Dicekite privacy: wheel entries and Secret Santa names stay in your browser, only logs and feedback reach the server

Last updated October 12, 2026. This policy says what dicekite.com does with data when you spin, roll, draw or send feedback.

Names and lists stay in your browser

The wheel entries, group names and Secret Santa lists you type are processed on your device. They are not uploaded, and Secret Santa results are never emailed or saved by us.

Secret Santa draw steps: names are drawn and shown on screen only, with no email and no storage

Server logs

Like any website, our server logs IP address, time, requested page, browser string and status code. We use this to keep the site online and stop abuse, and logs are rotated and removed after a short period.

The five server log fields Dicekite keeps briefly: IP address, time, page, browser string and status code

Feedback form

If you use the “helpful / needs work” buttons, we store the time, your choice, the page, the topic and any note you type (maximum 1,000 characters). Your IP address is not stored with it; a one-way hash is held for 20 seconds to slow down spam. Please do not put personal details in the note. We keep the most recent 300 entries and you can ask us to delete yours through the contact form by giving the page and approximate time.

Cookies, analytics and ads

Dicekite sets no cookies, runs no analytics and shows no ads today. We will update this page and ask for consent where required before that changes.

Delivery network

Traffic passes through a content-delivery and security service that sees visitor IP addresses to route requests and filter attacks.

Children

Teachers and parents use the tools with kids, but the site does not ask children for personal information.

Your rights

If the GDPR, UK GDPR or the California CCPA applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of data we hold. Use the feedback form on the contact page and choose “Rights or removal request”; give the page and what you want changed.

Frequently asked questions

Are my wheel entries saved anywhere?

No, they exist only in the open tab and disappear when you close or reload it.

Do you share data with advertisers?

No. There are no ads and no advertising partners.

How do I remove feedback I submitted?

Use the contact form, choose “Rights or removal request” and give the page and rough time; we delete the matching entry.
